写真家／ジャーナリスト。アメリカのコロンビア大学院で国際関係学修士修得。ワールド・プレス・フォト（世界報道写真）賞、オーヴァーシーズ・プレス・クラブ（米海外特派員クラブ）のオリヴィエール・リボット賞など、国際的賞を多数受賞。タイム、ニューズウィーク、シュターン各誌に寄稿。著書に、イスラエル・パレスチナ紛争を取材した『パレスチナ：自爆テロの正義』、アメリカのエイズ問題を扱った『Fight AIDS』、写真集『戦争』などがある。また、ニューヨークの写真集『Tompkins Square Park』がアメリカの出版社パワーハウスから発売されたばかり。

Q. Sakamaki
Graduated with the Master degree of International Affaires from Columbia University. Based in New York City, he has been photographing war zones all over the world, as well as other human rights and social issues such as street children. His photographs have been appeared in books and magazines worldwide including Time, Newsweek and Stern. He received numerous outstanding awards, including World Press Photo and Overseas Press Club/ Olivier Rebbot, and currently represented by Redux Pictures. His latest photographic book "Tompkins Square Park" has been published by PowerHouse Books.
